NOTES: (Read Horticulture General Comments):
- The name and variety of each specimen should be on the entry card
- Entries will be judged for straight stems, clean foliage and fresh blooms
- Entries should be clean and free of insects and disease
- Containers are not the responsibility of the Fair Association.
- Paper containers are unacceptable.
- Exhibitors allowed only one (1) entry in each category
- Exhibits cannot be removed until 6:00 p.m. Sunday
- All material in Class I-1, Class I-2 and Class I-5, Junior specimens, must have been grown by or in the possession of the exhibitor at least 3 months prior to date of the Fair.
- One Best of Show Rosette will be awarded in Classes I-1, I-2, and I-3, and one in each group of Class I-5 Arrangements.

The Chester Fair Association and the Chester Garden Club are not responsible for items lost or stolen. Address stamps or labels can expedite the registration process
For each category: First and Second Place: Cash Prizes and Ribbons, Third Place: Ribbon
First: $8.00 - Second: $5.00 - Third: $3.00
Best of Show 1 chosen: Rosette
Flowers need not be grown by exhibitor. Judging to be based on color, spacing, creativity, and overall appearance.
A listing of flowers and materials used must accompany each arrangement.

“On a Pedestal”- an arrangement created on a cake stand.

“Fashion Don’ts”- an arrangement that includes silly or outdated fashion. accessories. Accessories can be used as either props or as a container.

“Sticks ‘n Stones”- an arrangement incorporating either sticks, stones, or both and can be used in or alongside of the arrangement.

“Three of a kind”- using a trio of complimentary arrangements. The containers cannot exceed 5” in height.

“In the Pink”-an arrangement using only of pink flowers (greens are allowed)

“Favorite Holiday”- an interpretation of your favorite holiday. Accessories are encouraged.
Hints:
- Size restrictions are exact. If size listed is exceeded, judges will disqualify entry.
- Mechanics should be covered with moss, greens, etc.
- Keep the tallest flowers the smallest.
- All arrangements - use fresh flowers unless otherwise indicated.
Class I-4 – 2007 Floriculture Feature
“World Traveler” Create a flower arrangement that represents your dream destination. Accessories are permitted. The available space is 22”x 22”. Fill the space without crowding it. Flowers need not be grown by exhibitor. Judging will be based on balance, color, and suitability.

Age 7 and under
- “Red Rover, Red Rover”- an arrangement using only red flowers (greens are allowed)
- “A Cup of Flower”- an arrangement that uses a 1 cup measuring cup as a container.
- “Favorite Holiday”- an arrangement that shows your favorite holiday. Be sure to use accessories
Age 8-14
- “Futuristic Flowers”-make an arrangement that we might see in the future. Use accessories and your imagination.
- “The Spelling Bee”- an arrangement that uses bumblebee colored flowers and bumblebee accessories.
- “Favorite Holiday”- an arrangement that shows your favorite holiday. Be sure to use accessories
Exhibitor need not grow flowers in Part B.
